Pornography is clearly linked to devastating effects.

I just read (skimmed to be honest) a research report titled “The Effects of Pornography on Individuals, Marriage, Family and Community,” by Patrick F. Fagan, Ph.D. You can find it at http://www.covenanteyes.com/blog/2010/01/26/the-effects-of-porn-new-report-from-the-family-research-counsel/

The empirical conclusion of the report is that lust destroys individuals,marriage, family and community.Unarguably,porn is destructive. On the flip side, that means fighting for freedom from lust is fruitful.

In other words,Dangerous Men (DM) groups are more than just ordinary.

By leading a Dangerous Men group you will:

1. Save marriages;prevent divorces
2. help increase sexual satisfaction
3. help increase men and women’s self esteem and confidence
4. reduce demeaning,abusive sexual acts
5. help increase personal happiness
6. strengthen family affection and,in turn,entire nations
7. decrease barriers between fathers and their children
8. decrease the risk of pornography related job loss
9. help men draw closer to a life-giving God
10. even help fight crime!

Since the impact of porn is so clearly and intensely negative,isn’t it quite obvious that freedom from porn would have an inversely positive result? Wouldn’t it be great to cut out porn’s usage before it wreaks extreme destruction in your life?

By helping yourself and other men defeat lustful patterns,you help save their marriages or future marriages.You help them have increased sexual satisfaction in marriage.(Better sex, yeaaa!)You help their self-esteem,and their personalconfidence.You help them become more affectionate fathers.You help increase their income potential. You help strengthen families which are the foundation of a healthy society!

“Disqualified” or “inept” are a couple of names the enemy may call you, and use to try to prevent you from leading such a group. I hear those lies too. But I have learned that I will never achieve perfection, and I am helping men to the one who is perfect, not revealing my own journey to perfection. I am weak, yet dependent on His strength. With this in mind, our current temptation to lust is actually what qualifies us to facilitate a DM group!

Will you sit and read more stories of infidelity, abuse, and destroyed families? Will you continue to think “that won’t happen to me or people I know”?

Here is my challenge:

1. Help other guys fight for freedom.
2. Help other guys’ marriages and families.
3. Help other guys increase their confidence.
4. Help other guys be happier in life.
5. Fight for your freedom from lust together!

The Dangerous Men book is an amazing tool to do this.

Fight for freedom with the guys around you. I love the DM material, and think it is some of the best stuff out there. Grab a few buddies, get the materials at www.ManUp.org, and get started. Do it boldly. The benefits and rewards are rich!
